What documents do I need to rent a car in Japan?
You must present a valid passport, your driver’s license, and an International Driving Permit (IDP). Rentals are available for drivers aged 20–65.
What are your business hours for pick-up and return?
Pick-up and return are available from 8:00 to 20:00. If you return the car after 20:00, an extra hour fee applies, charged at double the normal extension fee.
Do you charge extra on weekends or holidays?
No—there are no unclear additional fees for weekends, holidays, Obon, New Year’s, or peak seasons.
What’s your fuel policy?
“Full to Full” means the car will be given to you with a full tank, and you must return it with a full tank. If the tank is not full upon return, refueling charges will apply.
Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit/debit cards. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Is mileage limited?
No. All rentals come with unlimited mileage.
What insurance or coverage is included?
Collision Damage Waiver and Third Party Liability are included.
Can I reduce my deductible?
Yes. You can add the optional Liability Waiver Assistance Fee (¥1,100/day). This is not insurance; it only covers the deductible you would otherwise pay for property damage. It must be chosen at the start of the rental.
What are the cancellation terms?
Free cancellation up to 7 days before the rental date. From 7 days before departure: 100% of the scheduled basic fee is charged.
Could my booking be canceled if I am late?
Yes. If we cannot contact you 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time, or if the rental contract is not completed, the reservation may be canceled.
Do prices include tax?
Yes. All rental prices include consumption tax.
Can I rent extras like child seats or GPS?
Yes. Optional extras include: car navigation system (¥600), child seat (¥600), tire chains (¥1,100), studless tires (from ¥2,000).
